Analog phone, also known as single line phone, also, known as ‘Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS)’ is using analog technology. Analog technology is the original telephone technology. It changes air vibrations into analog electrical frequency. Or in another word, analog technology is a system that will translate audio (human voice) into electronic pulse.
The sound quality of the analog telephone is substantially higher. Analog technology supports standard phone, facsimile machine and modem. In Malaysia, you can still use analog phone together with digital phone. Even so, you still have to check with your contractor because analog phones can only work on analog port.

Recently our office experienced a power outage. Even though we could not do work on our computer, at least we can check our emails via the hand phone. Besides that, luckily we have installed 2 units of 7AH backup battery to our pabx system. So our office telephones still working. If not, the business traffic will certainly leave us behind.
Who knows what will happen in the future?
Therefore, it is very important to install backup battery to the pabx system whereby backup batteries provide power if the power supply is interrupted. Preparing for the unexpected did save us technically and economically.
How do you take care of the backup batteries for the pabx system?
Do not do this:
- Do not short-circuit because it may cause acute or terrible damage to the backup battery.
- Do not drop or hit the backup battery. It may expose the cell contents.
- Do not expose the battery to moisture or rain.
Keep battery away from fire or other sources of extreme heat. Exposure of battery to extreme heat may result in explosion.

Majority companies’ will be using music on hold to play recorded music to entertain callers when they are put on hold, to fill the silence. People sometimes refer to it as message on hold, phone on hold, or hold messaging.
